S-Transform based fault detection algorithm for enhancing distance protection performance

چکیده
This paper presents a new fault detection algorithm based on the Fast Discrete Stockwell Transform. The can improve functionality of existing distance protection and resolve shortcomings identified during process in case occurrence systems with high penetration power electronics-based generators. Reported results operation commercial relays four different vendors show that all experience difficulties ungrounded faults.
